Jason Andrew Colter, 43 of Morgantown, Kentucky passed away Wednesday June 28, 2017 at the Morgantown Care & Rehab.He was born August 20, 1973 in Bowling Green, Kentucky to the late Johnny Colter and Sandra Mae Saunders Colter. Jason was a member of Richland Missionary Baptist Church, a 1992 graduate of Butler County High School at which time he was very active and loved serving in the FFA, a member of the 5th District Volunteer Fire Department and Butler County Rescue Squad where he loved volunteering and serving. He loved fishing, hunting, gardening and muddin in his truck. Jason had a heart of gold always wanting to serve and put others first. Other than his parents he is preceded in death by his grandparents Oscar & Helen Colter and Leon and Freeda Miaskowski; niece Tessa Moore and mother in law Jean Harshbarger.
Jason Andrew Colter is survived by his wife Sandy Colter of Morgantown, Ky.; one son Chris Colter of Morgantown, Ky.; two brothers Timmy Colter (Tina) Woodbury, Ky. and Dewayne Colter of Morgantown, Ky.; sister Mandy Lykins (Jon) of Bowling Green, Ky.; two special uncles Greg Tipton of California and Robert Saunders of Morgantown, Ky.; cousin David Colter and family of Morgantown, Ky.; father in law Kermit Harshbarger of Morgantown, Ky.; special friend Tabbi Phelps and kids; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends and one special dog Nessie.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday July 1, 2017 at the Green River Museum at Woodbury Kentucky at 6:00pm in event of rain it will be held at the Butler County Rescue Squad Building behind the court house. A funeral procession will leave Jones Funeral Chapel at 5:30pm. In lieu of flowers Butler County Rescue Squad c/o Jones Funeral Chapel P.O.
